Perle di Patate in Vodka Sauce
Serves 4 (as main, 6 as a side)

1 lb Perle di Patate pasta (rustichella d’abruzzo brand)
4 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2 Tsp. butter
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1- 28 oz. can tomatoes, diced
1/3 cup vodka
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1/2 pint heavy cream
Salt and pepper

Verdicchio sounds good with this little dish, don't you think?

In a large pan sauté the oil, butter and garlic on low. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook covered on low for about 30 minutes. Add vodka and cook uncovered for 25 minutes. Add the cream; cook about 5 more minutes. Boil the pasta (until they all float - 1-2 minutes) Toss the Perle di Patate in with the sauce, mix and then garnish with the basil.

Serving Suggestions and Tips: Verdicchio sounds good with this little dish, don't you think?
