Our Wine Department is truly Seattle's hidden treasure. Located upstairs in our store, you will find the most complete selection of Italian wines in the city. The selection doesn't stop there: we also proudly offer wines from the Northwest and around the world. Indeed, we carry over 1,800 wines. We are particularly proud of our half-bottle selection, too. As with our deli and gourmet items, we are proud to offer a breadth and depth of unique wines you simply will not find anywhere else in the Northwest.

| New Arrivals: Vignalta Vertical! | |
Like a little gem among other hills, south of mount Venda, three miles from Este, rich in vineyards and olive groves, surrounded by meadows, is GEMMOLA.(Guglielmo Stefani, 1845). Perfect exposure and the unique composition of volcanic soil allows Vignalta to produce exceptional grapes from our vineyard on the Gemola hill, mostly planted with Merlot together with a smaller percentage of Cabernet Franc. However, the early vintages contained Cabernet Sauvignon instead of Cabernet Franc (e.g. 1997). Gemola is the flagship of Vignalta wines - consistently receiving the highest awards. It's no wonder we are proud to offer verticals of this amazing wine from Northern Italy. 1997, 2000, 2001 and 2006 vintages are available now.
